Flight operations
Lufthansa CityLine’s flight operations ensure safe, regular, economic and customer-oriented air services. Lufthansa CityLine serves European routes and performs important feeder services to and from the hubs in Frankfurt and Munich on behalf of Lufthansa. Currently, about 700 pilots and 900 flight attendants work for Lufthansa CityLine. The standards that Lufthansa CityLine applies to its flight operations are guided by Lufthansa’s standards.
Featuring head-up guidance system and Electronic Flight Bag, CityLine aircraft are equipped with the latest aviation technology. Training and educational courses for cockpit and cabin crews take place at the Lufthansa CityLine Training Center near Munich Airport, located in the same building as the Lufthansa Flight Training Center. Using cabin simulators for Embraer, Bombardier CRJ and AVRO aircraft, an Embraer cockpit simulator of SWISS Aviation Training and modern classrooms, Lufthansa CityLine offers optimum learning conditions for training in the areas of safety, human factors, cockpit and cabin, all under one roof.
